Wellness Committee Minutes

The Atkins School District Nursing Staff is dedicated to the health of our students and staff. We strive to optimize student health and development to advance academic success from PK-12 grades.

We provide diabetic care, first aid, emergency care, annual health screenings for students, administer medications, and attend field trips if nursing care is needed.

Our nursing staff is active in efforts to enhance and improve the health of our students by coordinating and participating in a district wellness committee, otherwise known as School Nutrition and Physical Activity Advisory Committe (SNPAAC).

Wellness Committee meetings are held on the second Wednesday of September, November, February and April in the AES/AMS cafeteria beginning @ 4:30pm.
